Afternoon Officiating ~ FAQ's

What are the start times for afternoon games?

Start times vary by each league. Times are of course subject to change, but typical start times 2:50 & 4:00 pm.

Which seasons do leagues run by gender?

Fall- CALOC & LOCAL League (Girls)
Winter- CALOC & LOCAL League (Boys)
Winter- Tri-Way & Tri-Way DSL (Boys & Girls Double Headers)

How are game fees determined?

Game fees are set by gender, time format, and/or season. Over the past few years, the leagues that we service have cooperated in setting the game fees consistent with neighboring leagues in Orange County.

(Pay Scale)

Why do some leagues play single games vs. double headers?

Single games are scheduled because of end of school times, start times for outdoor games (lack of daylight), as well as gender and season considerations (girls/fall & boys/winter).

The Tri-Way Leagues play double headers because their girls & boys play in the same season, and they are fortunate to have more indoor gyms.

What are the differences in rules for each league?

Rules are set by age level or division. The rules for the most part are CIF by default, but there are slight exceptions in defensive strategies and clock management. Be sure to read the rules for each league.

What are the time formats for each league/division

CALOC & LOCAL - 7 & 8 grades - CIF Regulation
CALOC & LOCAL - 5 & 6 grades - (4) 10 min running time quarters
Tri-Way Leagues - (4) 10 min running time quarters
