Established: SOCBOA was founded in 1993

Stability: The positions of President, Vice President, Instructional Chair, and Ratings Chair have remained the same since the existence of the association.

Territory: SOCBOA services 40+ schools in an unusual geographic territory which spans between the northern and southern ends of Orange County including Los Alamitos HS (1/2 mile from L.A. County), and San Clemente HS (3 miles from San Diego County).

Roster: The Officials Roster has an average of 160 full time members and 20+ associate members.

Fame: SOCBOA has produced or is home to (8) NCAA Div. 1 Women?s, (1) NCAA Div. 1 Men?s, (1) CBA, (1) WNBA, & (2) NBA Officials.

Leagues: SOCBOA provides officials for the following CIF Leagues:
Sunset; South Coast; Pacific Coast; and a small number of independent schools.
